1. Eligibility / Platform

  • Website must be an existing WordPress website.
  • Website must be accessible through the WordPress Dashboard.
  • Client must provide administrator-level WordPress access.
  • Website must be hosted on a compatible WordPress hosting environment.
  • Homepage Refresh applies to an existing website, not a complete rebuild.
  • WooCommerce/e-commerce, membership systems, complex booking systems, custom applications, or extensive functionality are not included unless specifically quoted.

2. What’s Included

Your $995 starting package could include:

  • Homepage redesign
  • Responsive/mobile optimization
  • Improved page layout and visual hierarchy
  • Updated typography and styling
  • Basic on-page SEO improvements
  • Existing content placement/reformatting
  • Existing brand colors/logo incorporated into the refresh
  • Up to 2 rounds of revisions
  • Website testing on major desktop/mobile screen sizes
  • Final review before launch

3. Timeline

Estimated turnaround: 10-12 business days

The timeline begins once:

  • The deposit has been paid.
  • WordPress administrator access has been provided.
  • All required content, images, logos, and information have been received.

The timeline may be extended if the client delays providing content, feedback, approvals, or access.

Client feedback should ideally be provided within 2–3 business days to maintain the project schedule.

4. Payment Terms

  • Starting price: $995. A 50% deposit is required before work begins, with the remaining balance due upon completion and before launch or handover.
  • Payment plans may be available upon request and must be approved by Dezign Surge before work begins. A 50% deposit is still required, with the remaining balance divided into agreed monthly installments.
  • The website will not be launched, transferred, or handed over until all payments have been received in full.
  • Overdue payments may result in work being paused and the project timeline being adjusted.
  • Additional work outside the agreed scope will be quoted separately and requires client approval before work begins.

5. Full Website Redesign Upgrade

Want to go further?

  • If, during the Website Refresh process, you decide that your website would benefit from a Full Website Redesign, the amount already paid toward the Website Refresh will be credited toward the Full Website Redesign project.
  • The Full Website Redesign will be quoted separately based on scope and requirements.

6. Revisions

Includes:

  1. Up to 2 rounds of revisions
  2. A revision round is defined as:
    • A consolidated set of changes provided by the client after reviewing the proposed work.
    • Additional revisions or changes outside the agreed scope may be billed separately at your standard hourly/project rate.

7. Content

The client is responsible for providing:

  • Final website copy
  • Logos
  • Brand assets
  • Photos
  • Contact information
  • Business information
  • Other materials needed for the project

Dezign Surge may assist with formatting and placement of existing content as part of the refresh.

Copywriting, rewriting, photography, illustration, video production, or creation of new marketing content is not included unless specifically stated in the project scope.

8. What’s NOT Included

Unless specifically quoted, the Website Refresh does not include:

  • Complete website redesign/rebuild
  • New logo or complete rebranding
  • New website pages beyond the agreed scope
  • Copywriting
  • Professional photography
  • Video production
  • Custom illustrations
  • Custom coding/development
  • E-commerce setup
  • Membership systems
  • Advanced booking systems
  • Third-party integrations
  • Paid plugins/themes
  • Hosting
  • Domain registration/renewal
  • Ongoing website maintenance
  • SEO campaigns
  • Guaranteed search rankings
  • Guaranteed AI-search rankings

9. Third-Party Costs

  • Any third-party costs required for the project (including premium plugins, themes, fonts, stock photography, software subscriptions, hosting, domain registration, or other services) are the responsibility of the client unless otherwise agreed in writing.

10. Website Backup

Dezign Surge will take reasonable steps to protect the existing website before making significant changes. However, the client is responsible for maintaining a current website backup and hosting account.

11. Client Access

  • Client agrees to provide the necessary WordPress Dashboard and hosting access required to complete the project. Delays in providing access may affect the project timeline.
  • Client is responsible for ensuring that provided login credentials are valid and that Dezign Surge has appropriate authorization to access and modify the website.

12. Client Approval

  • Once the refreshed website has been presented for review, the client is responsible for reviewing the website and providing feedback within the agreed revision period.
  • Approval of the final website constitutes acceptance of the completed Website Refresh project.

13. Launch / Final Payment

  • The remaining 50% balance is due upon completion of the Homepage Refresh and prior to final launch, transfer of files, or handover of administrative access.
  • Final payment is due upon completion and approval of the refreshed website.

14. Cancellation

Cancellation by Client

  • The client may cancel the project at any time by providing written notice. If cancellation occurs after work has begun, the initial 50% deposit is non-refundable and will be retained to compensate for time reserved and work performed.
  • If the value of work completed at the time of cancellation exceeds the amount of the deposit, the client may be responsible for additional fees for work already performed.
  • If the client cancels before work begins, Dezign Surge may retain a $150 cancellation/administrative fee, with any remaining portion of the deposit refunded.

Cancellation by Dezign Surge

  • Dezign Surge reserves the right to cancel a project if circumstances prevent the project from being completed. If Dezign Surge cancels the project before substantial work has been completed, any unearned portion of payments received will be refunded to the client.

15. Client Delays / Abandoned Projects

  • If the client becomes unresponsive for more than 10 consecutive calendar days, the project may be considered inactive and removed from the active project schedule.
  • Restarting an inactive project may require rescheduling and may be subject to additional fees or revised pricing.

16. Scope Changes

  • Requests that substantially change the original project scope, including additional pages, new functionality, extensive content changes, redesigning previously approved work, or additional design concepts, will be treated as additional work and quoted separately.
  • No additional work will begin without client approval.

17. Ownership / Final Files

  • Upon receipt of full payment, the client receives ownership of the final website design work created specifically for the project, subject to any applicable third-party licenses.
  • Dezign Surge retains ownership of pre-existing tools, templates, frameworks, code libraries, processes, and other proprietary materials used to complete the project.

18. Portfolio Rights

  • Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Dezign Surge may display the completed website and related design work in its portfolio, website, social media, and promotional materials.
  • Clients who require confidentiality should notify Dezign Surge before the project begins.

19. Warranty / Post-Launch

7-day post-launch bug correction

  • Dezign Surge will correct technical issues directly resulting from its work and reported within 7 days of completion at no additional charge.
  • This does not include new requests, content changes, third-party plugin updates, hosting issues, WordPress updates, or changes made by the client or another party.

20. Maintenance

  • Website maintenance, security monitoring, backups, plugin/theme updates, hosting management, and ongoing content changes are not included unless covered by a separate maintenance agreement.

21. Acceptance of Terms

  • By submitting payment for the Website Refresh, the client acknowledges that they have reviewed and agreed to these terms and conditions.
