I love what I do and I love making my clients happy. After a big project, when a client turns around and says they liked the final product, it makes the struggle worth it.
But if they’re a world renowned, successful entrepreneur and they’re satisfied with your work, that makes it EPIC.
Let me set the stage. Two weeks ago, I landed a top secret project that’s packed with amazing information. (No, I can’t tell you what it was about. Sorry.) I had three days to finish this massive task and make it look eye-popping. This was a big huge MONSTER project that I just had to defeat.
At first, it seemed like it was going to be crazy difficult to pull off. Then, as I got started, it seemed so easy that it was laughable. But on the final day, it had me scrambling until the very last second. (Don’t all designers work like this?) A grueling 14 hours later, the monster was tamed, groomed and ready to send off to print. And this is what my client had to say:
My jaw dropped. Literally. My socks got knocked off (not literally). I looked around in shock, totally about to yell “OMG! Did you just see what he said?!” Of course, no one was there to witness this epic moment. But I’ve got that email starred. Sh.Muhammad Alshareef told me, “I’m very honoured and appreciative for the outstanding work you did on this. You knocked it out of the park, home run! In sha Allah, I look forward to collaborating with you in the future. You’re my favorite graphic designer. Hands down.” Needless to say, that was probably one of the best moments of my career. Alhumdulillah.
